The objective of this webinar
The Institute of Mechanical Engineering exclusive organized this Live webinar for students of mechanical engineering on ‘Composite is solution for Material Solution’ with the aim of students’ learning in advanced technology, which provide material solution as per industry ready Industry 4.O curriculum of Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences, Saveetha University for Saveetha School of Engineering. As materials play an important role in reliability i.e., the lifetime of the product, repair-ability, i.e., extension of life time of the product, replace-ability at an affordable price, decomposability (Environmental friendly concern), functionality of the product, precision and accuracy of a product’s performance and so on. This webinar is about deploying the potential need of selection of materials and their composition/matrix scientifically with respect to product requirements. Synthesis and Characterization of new materials to ensure the properties attainments and fulfilment of scientific assumption made. The webinar disclosed the Composite role in altering the inherent properties of the material to satisfy the stated and implied needs of the present and future industries and this webinar addressed the research potentials for students and academicians. Webinar Highlights: The Live Webinar on ‘Composite is solution for Material Solution’ was conducted with 40 participants including our Mechanical Engineering students, Heads of various departments in the domain of our Institute of Mechanical Engineering, Concerned Department faculty members, Program Director of Institute Mechanical Engineering participated. The guest speaker presented his talk interactively about present material issues, composite technology role for fulfilling such needs, how one can choose material composition for material requirements, how to establish the control over properties of materials, developing mathematical models for prediction of composition as per desired property requirements. The role of natural fibers, artificial fibers, matrix material and metallic and non-metallic fillers’ roles over controlling the materials’ properties as well as resolving the material issues. The speaker detailed about the significances of selection of method for synthesis, and characterization with respect to cost for fulfilling the material issues. At question session the guest speaker clarified so many research related question in creating novel materials. |
